Start your credential assessment and recognition process before you arrive in Canada
In many cases, you can have your academic credentials assessed and begin applying for a licence or certificate before you leave your home country. If you plan to work in a regulated occupation, the regulatory body or apprenticeship authority can tell you what steps you can take before arriving in Canada. Most provincial regulatory bodies have websites with special sections for internationally trained individuals.
